And the Winners Are...
The design team heard several of your comments that this was the stronger image, but with the face showing. I wholeheartedly agree. And I love the finished product!
The two names that were drawn to receive a free autographed copy of the book are:
Congratulations! I will be sending you a signed copy of my book as soon as it’s published, in early February.
I would like to take this moment to thank the team at Herald Press for their creativity and careful consideration of this cover image by doing the survey and getting comments and suggestions and then coming up with a winning cover design. Thank you so much — I am thrilled with the outcome!
I would also like to thank my niece, Leanna Mast, who is the model for this cover image. I LOVE this expression in your face, Leanna. As Valerie Weaver-Zercher described it: “poignant and complex.” Thank you for this beautiful image to represent my younger self, when I was in my twenties, as you are now. It is a heartwarming compliment to me. And it gives it even more authenticity that you, yourself, were raised Amish until you were three years old. In many ways you probably were raised Amish, for the Amish values are instilled in us even after we leave. Your parents likely were no exception.
Oh the joy! It is boundless this Christmas season. May peace and joy also be yours this holiday season.
