Saloma & David – Merry Christmas from one of your favorite Librarians….

    Love your tree…..

We created a faux mantle with fireplace and stockings here at the library.
Its made out of books. People love it. Wish we could post a photo of it
    here for you to see.

Have a health and super 2016.

John, it’s great to hear from you! You are definitely one of our favorite librarians!

I went to your library website, but I did not see photos of the mantle made from books. Will you give us a link to any photos you might have online?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND DAVID AND YOUR SONS ~ Thank you for sharing pictures of your warm and festive home!! Makes me want to curl up in a deep, over stuffed chair, in my flannels pajamas, drinking a big mug of hot cocoa. May you all bask in the love of our Lord and Savior,Jesus Christ, who left His throne to become one of us that we might be saved!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALSO!!!!

Thank you, Pamela, as always for your inspiration. It would be great to have you sitting in our living room with a hot cup of cocoa. Perhaps next year we should make such plans, unless we are in Germany.

      God’s Blessings to you also!

Merry Christmas to you and David. Have enjoyed your blog this past year so much and look forward to more in 2016. Your tree is beautiful and the house looks so festive. We are going to visit our Amish friends in northern Iowa tomorrow. I knitted little mitten ornaments filled with candies and candy canes.
May you be blessed with a wonderful Christmas with David and your sons and a good 2016. Pat and family

Thank you, Sadie. Our living room does feel cozy this time of the year. I think it’s how I make it through the darkest time of the year!

Merry Christmas to you also, and wishing you good cheer in the coming year!

    Saloma,

When I was in 10th grade a friend of mine was reading a book about the amish-I cant remember what it was called, It was part of a series and was better then those dumb fiction books that claim to represent the amish. I borrowed that book and then went on to read the rest of the series. I have had an amish bug since then. lol A friend and I went to a beachy church service, which was nice but didn’t understand why every one was kissing each other on the lips lol. Any how, I took the bus to work one day a couple weeks ago, and was surprised to see a group of amish men women and a child on the bus. (I live in Columbus Ohio. At first I thought they were going to the local children’s hospital, but not sure. Thank you for writing your blog for people like me who are intrigued by the amish.
