Monica the Mennobrarian has posted a review of my memoir Why I Left the Amish on her blog. Have you ever had someone say so many touching things about you that you cried? That is how I felt when I read her review. Monica brings a wealth of experiences because she also grew in in a plain culture, which informs her review of the book. It is truly gratifying to know that she found something of value in my story. I am a fortunate person if others find value in my memoir also.

It was a great review! I am SO looking forward to reading your book and sharing it with others. I don’t think you have to be Amish to appreciate the lessons you have learned along the way. I believe your book will encourage others to seek beyond themselves on their own journey through life where sometimes, hard decisions have to be made.
It was my pleasure to review your book, Saloma. Thank you again for providing me with an advanced copy and sharing your story with me. I suspect that many people will be able to identify with the feelings you experienced and wrote of, no matter where they come from or how they were raised.
